The Maize will be open Sept. 19th thru Oct. 31st
10am to 5pm

New for 2009 Flashlight and Fright Nights! Stay tuned for more info.
The Shermans and maze designer Brett Herbst – the world’s leading designer of 600+ corn mazes worldwide -- hope to challenge the wits of those seeking to find the one exit from their mind-boggling puzzle -- a unique source of good farmin' fun for adults and children alike. Though the correct pathway can be walked in only 30 minutes, most wandering maze-goers will require about one hour or more to travel through more than three miles of twists, turns and decision points. The maze design for 2008 was spectacular and depicted the University of New Hampshire Wildcats and University of Maine Black Bears ice hockey rivalry.  In 2007, the inaugural maze depicted the NH state quarter design chosen when the Sherman Farm became the first MAiZE in New Hampshire.  For 2009….stay tuned for a new and exciting design.

Ways To Enjoy The MAiZE
In an effort to ensure that the MAiZE experience offers something for everyone, the public will find a variety of ways to experience the maze:

A series of “passports” are available for church groups, girl and boy scouts, 4-Hers, corporate groups and the general public. Each containing ten questions that quiz the user on one of a variety of subjects, those who answer the questions correctly will receive clues that guide them along the correct path to the exit.
Other attractions at the MAiZE are the Moo Express, a Mini Maze, Corn Boxes, Hayrides, Pick your own Pumpkins, Al’s Animal House with farm animals for petting, Corn Cannons (a huge hit in 2008), Concession featuring Sherman Farm burgers and hot cider donuts.

The cornfield maze is a real cornfield therefore uneven surfaces are common.  Strollers are not recommended unless it is the bicycle tire type.  Wheelchairs are welcome but may work with difficulty.  Dogs are not allowed unless they are service dogs.  No exceptions.

The MAiZE at Sherman farm is open to the public every Saturday and Sunday from late September through October.  The MAiZE caters to school field trips during the week days and has created an elementary education campaign that includes: customized ag-in-the-classroom lesson plans and activity sheets for teachers, discounted field trip opportunities, on-site educational displays, and an agricultural "passport" that integrates education into the maze experience and helps guide students along the correct pathway. Teachers can access curriculum materials and field trip information online at www.cornfieldmaze.com
